Enhancing communication across an international (French family-owned) network specialised in fastening solutions
It all began in 2016 when a fellow English copywriter asked me to help write a couple of articles for a magazine. Today, I'm still working with ARaymond. Based in France, this fastening solution expert has a network of entities all over the world. The challenge? Communicating internally in English – not the native language for many – to create a sense of belonging and share success stories.
I work closely with Paris-based editorial agency We Factory & Co and ARaymond's internal communications team to create articles – mostly based on interviews in French or English – as well as other content, including welcome guides, employer brand tools, yearbooks and editorial guidelines. When the print magazine went digital as a monthly newsletter, we adapted the tone and style to fit the new format.
Showcasing innovative apparel, bags and footwear on the website of a leading French sports equipment company
When contacted by freelancing platform MALT to create product descriptions for Salomon, I jumped at the chance to work with a company dedicated to outdoor sports – as a keen runner and trained running coach. Salomon is a French company with its HQ in the Alps, but a global presence and distribution. The challenge? Create short texts that explain advanced technical features, multiple benefits AND weave in a little storytelling.
That was back in 2019. Since then, I've worked with the Salomon teams to showcase new products each season across apparel, footwear and bags – as well as lending a hand with ad hoc projects and campaigns. I work closely with the in-house product and marketing teams (in French or English) to showcase all the latest innovations.
"Victoria is a pleasure to work with: always available, responsive, and quick to grasp the essence of our product ranges. Her copywriting support is both efficient and perfectly aligned with our brand voice."Hélène Romain, Customer & Product Experience Specialist, Salomon
Relaunching the corporate website of the world's leading cosmetics company
When Tribal (DDB) contacted me about providing editorial strategy and copywriting for the redesign of L'Oréal's corporate website, I was delighted to take up the challenge. As the leading international beauty expert with multiple brands, L'Oréal wanted to create a showcase website conveying the group's vision and values – and above all the importance of people, whether employees, customers or partners.
Working with Tribal (DDB) and L'Oréal teams over a 6-month period – including numerous workshops, interviews and brainstorming sessions – I helped structure the website and define the tone of voice, as well as creating content. It was a great opportunity to get involved at so many different levels, from establishing the sitemap to honing brand voice and building guidelines.
Rebranding of a French sustainable material expert working in the automotive industry – and beyond
Materi'Act was set up by French automotive supplier Forvia to create more sustainable materials for vehicles. Since then, the company has set itself the mission of providing low-carbon, low-impact materials for automotive and beyond. By relaunching their website, they wanted to create a distinct identity with the right tone and angle to address environmental challenges.
I collaborated with communications agency Little Big Bang and the teams at Materi'Act to define the key messages and tone of voice, before creating content – manifesto, homepage, thematic articles, news and product pages – for the in-house teams to build on moving forward.
